I’m not sure how many of you know…but I also do some digital scrapbook designing. I am the lady behind The Hybrid Kid. I design digital scrapbook kits, hybrid projects, and printable learning activities for kids. I sell my digital designs exclusively at The Digi Chick and you can check out my shop here.
I’m so excited to be a sponsor this month at The Daily Digi. It’s an awesome site…not just for the digi goodies, but the articles, the team, and the amazing work that gets showcased! Every month they compile an awesome grab bag filled with digital kits and projects from 8 to 10 designers. You get digi goodies from all of the designers for just $5! It’s a great way to try out some new designers and to add to your digital stash.
I really love the project I completed for this month’s files. I can’t really tell you what it is…it will be revealed next week, I think. But I love the colors and the concept. And it’s useful…a plus in my book. I can show you the preview of the sneak peek, though…

My daughter was born on December 20th. Not exactly prime birthday party season. This year, for her 7th, we decided to have the party really early. Mom translation…get it out of the way before the hustle and bustle-that way maybe it really feels like a birthday and not a pink-coated holiday celebration!
Her vision of a nice birthday party and my vision do not quite match up. I had visions of white cake plates and polka dot ribbon with little girls dressed in pinafores. Her version…glam ho. ug. We somehow compromised. She got to have the party at a really cool dress up/salon close by and I got to do all the invites and party favors. And we went with a SMALL guest list. Fair enough.
Forgive the bad inside pictures. FYI I did all the graphics, too. Who knows, maybe I’ll release it as a kit or some printables! Here’s what we did…

And here’s what we’re doing for the thank you note. I have a picture of each girl getting dolled up that I will put where the gray square is. Cute, huh?

Here’s a cute little project I did for The Hybrid Chick blog…you can check out all the info and get the instructions on the blog! I used my papers from the Backyard Barbeque kit.
I also used Kelleigh Ratzlaff’s Tri-Tube template. If you’ve never tried hybrid (or even if you have), Kelleigh’s stuff rocks! She makes it so easy for you to complete a project. Even my Lolly and her friend made one at our barbeque!

I found the cutest cupcakes on Bakerella’s blog. She made hamburger cupcakes and sugar cookie fries. I knew my daughter Lolly would love a little kitchen project, so we whipped some up. Not too hard, really. And, as presentation is everything, I made a template for a paper tray and fry holder.
It was just too cute, so I used it as a hybrid project to go with the release of my kit, Backyard Barbeque. And I’m giving the templates away over at the other blog.
