Been Workin’…

…on filling orders! I really do enjoy making these pendants. The one thing I don’t like? I do wish I could see everyone’s faces when they see their pendants. I know they’re mine, but these pictures just don’t do them justice. Especially the photo pendants. They really are stunning to see in person. I’d love to do more digital scrapbook layout pendants for my ‘portfolio’, so if you’re interested in turning your layout into wearable art, contact me…I’ll give you a good deal!

Two things to tell/show you tonight. First, some of the pendants I’ve been working on. Just remember, I can do just about anything on a pendant…photos, monograms, icons, graphics…if you have an idea, we can make it happen! Second, to let you know that I’ve set up an order page! You can fill out what you want and even upload the picture right on the order form. The order form is only for photo pendants, as those are my most popular item. If you don’t see what you want on the order form, just contact me through the button at the top of the page and we can work out the order that way.

I’m taking a limited number of orders until DECEMBER 4th. I’ll take local orders until DECEMBER 9th. I’ll be at the kids’ school on the 9th for the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon where we will raffle off a pendant! I’ll also be taking orders that day. Contact me for info.

Daisy Troop Leader

Did I mention that I am officially a new Troop Leader? My daughter is a first grader and first graders can be Girl Scouts…they are called Daisies. Well, when one little girl REALLY want to do GS and a troop is already full and there are other girls who are waiting for a troop, too, and a new troop is started and somebody has to volunteer to lead… Really, I think this is going to be fun! I have an education background and have taught everyone from 3 year olds to adults…I can handle thirteen six-year-olds, right? My good friend is helping…the one I wrote about.

We had our first meeting the other night. It went really well. We have a great group of girls and Moms. At the end of the meeting, we gave the girls little paper bags filled with goodies to remind them of our new friendships and why we were doing this whole GS thing. I think they turned out really cute! Cheesy? Yes. But do you think that mattered to those girls…no…not when they heard me say ‘lip gloss.’

Like I said…cheese factor medium to high, but it was cute, easy, and inexpensive. The crafty trifecta!

Pink candy coated pretzels!

A good friend of mine recently had a baby…a gorgeous baby, actually. And, of course, when I went to visit this gorgeous little one, who happens to have a head full of blonde hair, I took a gift. It was one of those swaddler things…hard to find apparently…anyhoo, I’m off subject.

I also took her some pretzels. Candy coated pretzels are just about the easiest things to make, are inexpensive, and de-lish. Plus, they are completely customizable…we dip orange for Halloween, red for the holidays, purple for birthday, you get the idea. And, with any gift, presentation is the key! I knew a cute little container and some packaging would make those pretzels taste even better!

First…the pretzels. I buy those candy chips in the baking aisle at the craft store. You melt them in the microwave and dip your pretzels in them. I use the mini-twist pretzels. While they are still wet, I sprinkle decorator sugar (we call them sprinkles at our house) all over those puppies. Sweet, salty, sugary, crunchy…what more could you ask for?

I have been saving some containers that I knew would be good gift packaging. I have kept a bunch of strawberry containers. I have also started saving Lunchable containers…the new ones that are like a strawberry basket but without a top. They are perfect! I just bagged some pretzels and put this cute little band of paper all the way around. I punch a scalloped circle with my new 3 inch scallop punch (which I heart) and printed a little circle with this cute baby graphic on it! Really not that complicated. I believe they were thoroughly enjoyed!
